Our products are all handmade in our workshop, using traditional techniques. All our timber is reclaimed and has history behind it, it has been hand worked to bring out the very best in texture and shape, to give it a second lease of life; each piece has been sanded back to reveal its grain, stained and oiled or waxed to protect its qualities for its next owner.
The steel we use in our furniture is from local suppliers and always British made, we do all grinding and seam welding of our frames in house, and finish off with our customers preference of coating, from jet black to a clear lacquer to protect it for years to come.

When I was 17 I bought a classic vw bug, I was at college at the time, but managed to keep it running and rebuilt various things, such as the exhaust heating system.
I eventually put the car into the workshop for a full restoration, spending plenty of late nights in there stripping it down for a rebuild.
Some of our first projects were a dining table, made from the leaf springs of a ‘69 Hillman Hunter, a con rod tablet stand, a copper whisky dispenser, and a reclaimed wood jar light.
I put together about 10 different designs and managed to get a last minute place at the annual Arley Hall Simply Cheshire Show..
The response I got from everybody was unbelievable, and so in Spring of 2017, I started FocusFive Designs.
Starting out in a tiny workshop, which still has a car in that’s part way through a rebuild, I slowly built up my tool collection, and borrowed what I didn’t have.
My van was a diesel Renault Clio, that was so good on fuel it basically ran on fresh air! Slowly building up a portfolio of bespoke products, it all began to come together!
